Elli, of Uruguayan descent, was born and raised in Sydney. She began dancing at the young age of 8, having performed and/or instructed with a diverse range of dance schools. Among these are M & E Guerrero Folkloric Group, Graciela Yoga Dance School, Latin Fusion, LDA, Club Havana and currently Latin Steps Dance Company (Brisbane).

Having also trained in New York, Miami and Canada, Elli has been able to incorporate the many different styles of salsa in her dancing. While also having trained in jazz ballet, theatre dance, tango, and Brazilian dance, her passion for salsa is foremost.

Her energetic performances, rhythmic and sensual style, and emphasis on dance fusion are among the qualities that characterize Elli’s dancing.

Now dancing with Brisbane’s salsa great Carlos Galiano, their focus is to continue to inspire their salsa students and to deliver outstanding performances. Recent highlights have been teaching at the Sydney Salsa Congress 2006, representing Australia at the Spain Salsa Festival in Barcelona (2006) and invitations to perform and teach in numerous Australian cities.
